There are several ways to start the download and you can use any of them.
- use the "Add Downloads" from the toolbar;
- using the "Add URL" in the main menu.

Button Add Download
To start download you can click on "Add Download" in the toolbar. In this window, you'll need to insert one or more links (URL) and then click download.

This window shows the folder where you want to save the file, the folder can be easily modified.
Work with a list of downloads
In the list of downloads are all files that are downloading or have been downloaded by Raptor.

The list is a table with the following fields:
By right-click on the field with the column names you can access the list of columns that you can show or hide.
- File Name - shows the file name.
- Status - shows the current state of download.
- File Size - shows the size of downloaded file.
- Received - shows the amount of downloaded information.
- Speed - current speed of download.
- Elapsed - the total time of download.
- Remaining - the total time left to comlete download.
- URL - the link of download.
- Folder - the folder in which the downloaded file will be saved.
Selection of several elements in the list of downloads
To improve the efficiency of the list of downloads, you can select several downloads at once. This is done by selecting the elements of the list when you press Ctrl or Shift. With several elements of the list, you can carry out operations against them just as well as over one element.
Dragging downloads with mouse and keyboard
After selection one or more elements from the list of downloads, you can easely drag them to any position. You can also move elements in the list using the shortcut Alt + "up-arrow" and Alt +"down-arrow ".
Context menu
After clicking the right mouse button on the element appears context menu from which you can conduct various transactions over the downloads. Depending on status of the download, some menu items may be unavailable.
Status bar
Status bar displays the status of download and possible errors. When Raptor is downloading the color of status bar becomes green.

When all downloads are completed, the color changes to blue.
If Raptor waits for download, the color becomes orange, and there's displayed the amount of time, after which the download begins.
Rapidshare asks to wait 60 seconds.
Then the download will begin.
If there are any errors color becomes red.
No connection to the Internet.
Check the proxy server's settings.
Hotkeys
F4 - appears window "Add Download".
F5 - starts to download the selected file(s).
F6 - stops downloading of selected file(s).
Del - removes file(s) from the list of downloads.
Alt+Up - moves the element up in the list.
Alt+Down - moves the element down in the list.
Alt+F4 - closes the program.
Ctrl+C - copies the link to the clipboard.
Ctrl+V - inserts a link(s) from the clipboard to the window "Add Download".
Ctrl+A - selects all elements in the list.
F1 - appears window "User Manual".

Add download - appears window "Add Download".
Start - starts to download the selected file(s).
Stop - stops downloading of selected file(s).
Delete - removes file(s) from the list of downloads.
Start All - starts to download all files (exception completed) .
Stop All - stops downloading of all files.
Delete All - removes all files from the list of downloads.
Move Up - moves the element up in the list.
Move Down - moves the element down in the list.
Open link in browser - opens link in browser.
Open/Execute downloaded file - opens/executes downloaded file.
Open destination directory - opens folder where file is saved.
Properties - opens the window of download.
Exit - closes the program.

Copy URL - copy the link of downloaded file.
Paste URL - appears window "Add Download" with pasted link.
Select All - selects all elements in the list.
Invert Selection - inverts selection.
View
Toolbar - shows/hides tool penel.
Columns - shows/hides columns.
Language - selects language of interface.
Grid - shows/hides the gridlines in the list.
Hide Raptor - minimizes Raptor to tray.

Use Proxy - if checked, Raptor will use the proxy server to download files.
Server - the proxy server address, that you want to use.
Port - the port of the proxy server.
Use Authorization - if checked, Raptor will use the user name and password when connecting to the proxy server.
User Name - enter a user name here, if a proxy server requires a user name and password.
Password - enter a password here, if a proxy server requires a user name and password.
Downloads
Default Folder - enter the folder where you want to save the downloaded file.

Grid - shows/hides the gridlines in the list.
Toolbar - shows/hides tool penel.
Language - selects language of interface.
